Yes, we know you are “maxed out” with your own pets at home – thank you for loving an animal! You can still help homeless pets in Adams County get adopted faster by becoming a shelter pet sponsor! Here’s how it works:

1. Choose a pet to sponsor from our Adoptable Pets list. Pets that are already sponsored are labeled as "Sponsored" next to their names. You may also text your selection to Jessica Huxmann at 937-217-1622 to find out if the pet has already been sponsored. In general, cats over 6 months old are $45 to adopt/sponsor, kittens under 6 months old are $55 to adopt/sponsor, and dogs are $150 to adopt/sponsor. Adoption/Sponsorship fees may vary, depending on age, chronic conditions, and other factors. 
    

2. Let us know how you would like to be recognized. Sponsorships may be anonymous or made in honor/memory of an individual. Sponsorships may also be made in honor of a family, a club, a group, or a business. To specify how you would like to be recognized, you may call/text Jessica Huxmann at 937-217-1622 to specify your preferences. You may also include a note with your mail-in payment.
    

3. Pay securely online by clicking HERE or send a check for the sponsor amount to HSAC, P.O. Box 245, West Union, OH 45693. When sending a check to sponsor a pet, please also text your selected pet's name to Jessica Huxmann at 937-217-1622 so that we can mark that pet as sponsored.
