Tri-State CART is a 501c(3) non-profit, all-volunteer group made up of local, trained citizens who want to ensure that, in the event of a declared disaster or emergency, planning and manpower are in place for the welfare of all animals affected. The organization serves the tri-state areas of Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana for 31 counties. 

 

Tri State CART is the official Homeland Security agency to help in a state emergency or disaster for Region 6 in Ohio, Region 6 in Kentucky and Region 9 in Indiana.

No membership fee required to join, but volunteers must complete FEMA ICS 100, 700, 800, BGUS Water Awareness, and a Disaster Animal Sheltering course. Certificates must be on CART file.
